This was a Christmas gift for one of my grandsons. He likes it because he can see each type of Pokemon and know their weaknesses and what they are effective against. He keeps it at hand so he can refer to it every time he needs to know something about Pokemon.
Our 11 year old is really into Pokemon, and this is his favorite Pokemon book. He loves it so much that this is our 2nd copy we've ordered. (I wish they had printed it in hardcover.) Keep in mind that this book is not a new release, but came out in the beginning of Pokemon times. Therefore, it does not contain information on the "new" pokemon that have come out since this was printed.
